War? Violence among nations?

Why are there war and terrorisim around when leaders can sort it out peacefully? Is it the nation's interest that is at stake or is it the interest of the leaders at stake? Why cant the leaders just settle the differences with a game of Counter Strike instead? We need no war but compromise and understanding. I wish you guys well...

I think to many leaders, the troops and soldiers start to seem like playing pieces on a big board to them. Many of the personality types who compete to become leaders in the first place are the kinds of people who think "resolving things peacefully" is itself some kind of weakness or defeat (despite that it actually takes a stronger person to do that).
