Which would you prefer that they talk in Italian but you can't understand them or that they talk in a Brittish accent and you can?

An Italian accent is a degrading insult if you think about it. A Brittish accent on the other hand, is like saying the audience can't speak properly.

It also has something to do with Shakespeare writing Julius Caesar. It makes you think people have to talk like Richard Burton to play these roles.

We all wouldn't understand a word the characters said if they spoke pure Latin--the language spoken at the time.
