I've stopped eating restaurant salads ever since a chef told me that they don't wash salad vegetables.

Not really but I try not to think of it too much or I would be paranoid about everything. I don't eat out often anyway and I am actually a very healthy person

Sometimes....

The local TV station where I live has weekly reports on local restaurants about their recent inspections done by certified health inspectors (The City Health Department). This helps a great deal because they air 2-3 restaurants a week and are rated by Demerits which are given for specific "critical" violations. Most people in town know where it's safe to eat and not to eat.

no, i don't that's why very seldom i do eat in any restaurants whether 5 stars or 1 star type of eateries, even to drink coffee i try not to, if i eat out i try to order just steak and make it cooked well done and even that i still is very hesitant. i hope this send message to some restaurant owners that they have to make sure that they are serving the public clean, sanitary, and healthy food or soon a lot of people will be like me and the industry will go down the DRAAAAIIIIINNNN!

I do trust them but mostly out of default.I have worked in a retail store snack bar.The food I prepared I tried very hard to make sure was clean. But there were variables out of the control of the cook.We used to sell hot dogs that were cooked on one of those rolling grills.Flies would land on it and the surface grease is VERY sticky they would get stuck and rolled.I can only assume similar things happen in restaurants.Overall I do trust them because the incoming food is SUPPOSED to be clean..

of my favorites yes, I trust the cleanliness of both of them. Of fast food and chain restaurants, NOPE.

We have 9 eateries in my small town, i will patronize only 2

nope I've delivered beer to too many back coolers......restaurants are scary. Unwashed salad is probably the least of your worries.

i eat every day at the restaraunt that i work at and i'm never sick, trust me everything gets washed....i would guess that if a place looks clean in front and the workers look clean you r safe,i would avoid smorgies during cold and flu season though

if you eat in a restaurant, then you must trust the kitchen or you wouldn't be eating there
