mahatma gandhi used cling to his own philosopies ...he wouldnt accept others points of view....for heavens sake india got freedom coz the british were too busy with their own problems and didnt want another taxing business of managing a colony of people bugging them emotionally...i feel we'd have become free much earlier had the fight been allowed to be a lil more reactive than so boringly proactive as it turned out under mahatma gandhi

Gandhiji has done a lot for this country. From leading it to Independence to teaching us some moral values about ourselves. He was a human after all and its not that whatever he does has to be right....he wasn't god. He has lived upon his principles which he set up for himself and in certain situations his principles may have led him to wrong decisions and actions. But honestly he is the father of our nation and what ever he has done for us is inexplicable.
Let us be optimistc and remember only what good he has done and leave alone his faults somewhere in the dark....
We have our futur right there lying ahead on us...lets learn from the past!

Mahatma Gandhi was right in various matters.
He can be wrong on some points
None is always right or wrong.
When I get food of my taste, I am right. When I get food against my choice, I am wrong.

everybody errs. May be the father of the nation also did it. but i know one thing.... the day i can give up something saying "till the day every countrymen of mine has it, i will not use it"....i will consider myself worthy enough of pointing a finger at Bapu. till then i have no right.
And all of you who think we are facing morons who make fun of Gandhiji....read this link and give your apt answer to the writer. I did. I even questioned the authenticity of the writer being an Indian let alone a sikh. I think it is some pakistani who has written a article and put up a pix of a sikh gentleman.
