The British considered our patriots and freedom fighters terrorist although I don't believe the term "terrorist" was in existence at the time I could be wrong. But we used what the British considered dirty tactics or ungentlemanly behavior or weren't fighting according to their rules of war. We would sabotage, destroy and kill in the name of freedom. We of course did not blow up innocent women and children indiscriminately. I am in no way trying to compare our forefathers to today's terrorist. Just that your definition of a terrorist depends on which side your on.

A *terrorist?* No. A freedom fighter? Strong possibility. The difference? I think there would be ways to get rid of said foreign nation without necessarily starting to blow up their citizens.

sounds like we'd have to throw out the incumbents in our govt. for allowing it. if we had a dictatorship and i was ordered by god himself to kill somebody, i'd become a political assassin and target the people most responsible. as a westerner i think its cowardly to target civilians.

no our citizens join the military so that way you can put a legal formality on the word terrorist and do pretty much the same thing they do and get away with it

This question gets asked by liberals five times a day, in one way or another.

The answer remains the same for me: Nothing on God's green earth could make me strap a bomb on myself or my child and go blow up a building. Nothing.

I would never blow myself up for any cause thank you very much... i'd much rather join the army and take on them like a man then set up bombs that might accidently kill children, and civilians.

We have learned that terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength; they are invited by the perception of weakness. And the surest way to avoid attacks on our own people is to engage the enemy where he lives and plans. We are fighting that enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan today so that we do not meet him again on our own streets, in our own cities.
George W. Bush
