I am very confused about the last few words you writing in a letter. For example, there are "sincerely", "regards", "love", "always yours", etc. I bet there are different uses for each word, but I was unable to find an explaination for the usage of each word at the end of a letter.

Could anybody tell what are these words used for?

Love, and Always Yours, are used to someone you're familiar with; could be your mum, a close friend, etc.
Yours Sincerely, is used formally, especially when you're writing a letter to apply for a job.
Regards, is informally used to someone you kinda know, but not really close to. For example, a mum writes a short note asking to meet her daughter's teacher. "Dear Miss Lee... Etc... Regards"
You may also use Regards to end a formal letter in order to add some warmth and friendliness in your tone.

When you close a letter it is respectful and tasteful to end it with something along those lines. There are many many ways to end a letter, those are just a few. It all depends on the content of the letter and the sender's relationship to the receiver.

Those are words used in closing. Some are for personal correspondence and others more appropriate for business communication.

Something I always found handy was ending with "thanking you in anticipation". It prompts the person to respond to your letter.
