Check out various fantasy authors' websites for online stories. The first link below is to a horror writer's website.
However, there is also "fan fic." A published author's work is used as a basis for fleshing out the imagined world. It is becoming very prevalent, because the web allows no-cost publication. The writers aren't making any money, but they get the joy of having their work (or play) read. Have a care, though, many fan fic stories are quite different from the original story you love. The second link is for fan fic.

Elfwood is an excellent site, especially if you want to post your own fantasy fiction. It has been around a long time, and is entirely free (and free of commercial stuff). It's just a place to do your own fantasy art and fiction.
I've been a member for about nine years.
