Don't give up easily when you do your homework. Read a lot of books in library (they're free to read so why not using them for your own good?)
Make your own notes when you're in class and a lot of exercise to remember the formulas.

i had calculus in my first quarter at university..and it was horrible ...but i did all my assignments ...didnt do my quiz though...but still got a B in the end!
so i guess ud better practice all the questions in your book

Do your homework, pay attention in class, ask the teacher for help with concepts you don't understand.
