dont worry about it the future tends to unfold as it should everything happens for a reason dont stress that prolly means the parent is gonna try to live their childhood dreams and ambitions through their kid which is rly sad

Teach your child a trick.
Like a math trick, or something like that.
Tell them it's a magic trick their going to perform on the people.
Teach them something like
500 x 258 = 129000
Or a complicated math problem.
Make sure your child knows it well, and the next time you guy meet have a convo like this.
You: Wanna see whos child is smarter?
Them: Absolutley!
You: Madison(??), what is 500 times 258?
Madison(??): 129000, mommy
Them: Wow

my mom has friends like that, cause i'm not such a bright kid. frankly, just don't associate yourself with those people. because their children's lives are they're children's lives and you're children's lives are ... well you're children's lives. there is no need to compare, and if you're so irritated, it's not like you can smack them in the face and say "how rude!" so just don't talk to them, makes your world a little better.
or you can find some kid that's smarter and somehow rub it into their face ya know.. o.O but that would be a bit childish

Someones child is always going to be more clever, your friend is arrogant and rude, be the better person and teach your child the same.

just say well good for you and i hope he or she is smart when their older, and change the subject and if this person keeps telling you this than say well you told me this already how many times are you going to say it. you shouldn't let ignorant people bring you down.
