There are legit jobs that allow you to work from home. These are usually with reputable companies who provide flex schedules for their employees. If a company tells you to pay, don't even go any further. It's a scam.

I think you answered your own question - they charge a startup fee because they're scams. They get the startup money and most people never follow through with the job because they make it needlessly difficult to do so, so they never have to pay back out. Just get a regular like secretary job or something. If you have to work from home, sell old crap on eBay.

This is a hard one. Usually good jobs you can do at home start first with a comany on site job which eventually gets turned into a network work at home deal. Usually the medical transcriptions requires you to go out and locate your own clients and this requires a license and then experience. I do know that entry level jobs are harder to come by these days. It takes much more effort to get even a basic job, let alone one which allows an individual to work in the comfort of their own homes. I am sorry there is not better news to report, and good luck in finding something which you can be happy doing. Have a really nice evening.

Any job "Just Over Broke" that you have to pay to work is a scam, The only legit start up fees are home based businesses what you are paying for is a franchise (like a McDonald's for example) of the company which allows you to sell the service or product that the company has invested money in to develop. Check my 360 profile if you would like to start your home based business.

eBay is a good option. You can work on your schedule and do as much as you need or want to. You can fit eBay in around other things in your life. I am an eBay Silver Level Powerseller and have sold 12,000 items. My monthly profit averages $3500.

You will find this guide helpful in getting started on eBay.

This guide explains what kinds of things to sell, where to find them, how to use eBay, about shipping, and how to get started immediately, with no financial investment. I started off selling things I already had and it only costs a few dollars to cover the listing fees.

Best of luck to you!
