I heard a cute myth that when you find your soul mate, you see a silver chord bonding the two...

Ever heard this myth or where it might come from?

the silvercords are not visible ,it is a symbolic phraze for the life line of consciousness
in astal travel it is what keeps you connected to the body whilst the consciousness is travelg away from it
when some body shakes you or someting happens to interupt the voyage the consciousness returns via this silver chord

Never heard it before, though it is cool, but it might be based off an Irish, Celtic or Gallic myth, silver being fairly important to those groups.

I have never heard that one. Actually I did not see it when I meet my soul mate. Also remember a soul mate may not be your spouse or significant other. Mine was my best friend. She was my soul mate. We were so much alike that after not seeing each other for several years, we married on the same day....had the same things in our bathroom...had the same things in our kitchen. We were tied together. She recently died of cancer.

There is actually a verse in the Bible that talks about a two fold chord. I'm not sure where it is located.

Sounds just like the Japanese belief of the red string of fate.
That it is eternally tying two people together and when they meet, they can see it.
