Puffy eyes can be due to lack of nutrition and lack of sleep. It has nothing to do with the make-up. Also, using moisturizer can help limit the raccoon eye look.

It's a combination of certain things enhanced and other things hidden on the face. Eyes are made to look bigger (more awake) and cheeks are brightened and appear flushed with makeup. Sleeping people don't have flushed cheeks. Dark under-eye circles are hidden. Another reason is that you are just use to seeing women without makeup when they go to bed or wake up in the morning, so you associate lack of makeup with sleep.

no i dont wear heavy make up, i dont really need it that much, so my skin has its natural glow even without any makeup. i look sleepy only when im tired and actually sleepy

if makeup is a daily thing or a frequent thing, it tends to wear down the skin so yeah, most girls that wear make up often do tend to look more like "crap" when they dont wear it...

i know i look more pale and you can definitely see my imperfections but i dont wear make up a lot so its not as bad as some of the girls i've seen

I do because my eyelashes are very very light color and well basically clear so it looks like I have no eyelashes so yeah I look sleepy

well yeah, I look very sleepy if I don't put on concealer because it covers the dark circles or bags under my eyes.

Sometimes it has to do with natural beauty.
but if you look tired it doesnt mean theyre not naturally
pretty.
it just mostly has to do with how people are use to seeing them.
