No. To be an economic power one has to be adept in manufacturing goods that not only produce consumer goods but also durable goods . Consumer goods would be food, clothing, textiles, household appliances..I'm sure India can do that. But durable goods e.g cars, bulldozers or earth moving machineries, cranes, trucks both for personal and industrial use, I think India has a little more to go before they can do that. I don't see any cars or trucks that are made in India. China on the other hand, is poised to start exporting cars to America just like what the South Koreans did a mere ten years ago. Comparatively, I think China is way ahead of India in being the biggest economic country in the world. The number 1 spot is still undeniably the USA.I

For a publicity, if a country is declared as the biggest economic country, it can not be accepted in general as it means the other (weak) side of the country is not disclosed. Indis is not the biggest, but it was the most biggest once, say about 154 years ago and we can still hope to be so in future, because India has got the knowledge base to be the biggest economic - Read 'Arthsastra' of Vishnugupt and try to implement individually

India is not the biggest economically developed country in the world. Still we can see poverty here. Through re-distribution only we can attain equitable development here.

Possibly. The largest target, certainly. The 'Rape of Nanking' by the Japanese is a good reminder how invaders may resolve the issue of large urban population centers. India would do well to
secure its borders and train more of its population in home defense measures. I don't think Bollywood dance productions
are going to slow forceful conversion of India into something else.
