I need it for a tribute that I'm doing for a cousin of mine that was killed in a school bathroom three years ago. Since he liked playing the violin i was thinking of getting a good song with the sound of violin(s) in the background. Please help?....it's for a video.

Everything by Lifehouse. It's such a wonderful song. It would be beautiful in a tribute piece. Good luck!

Michael W. Smith has some nice songs, which includes "Song for Rich" which is an instrumental tribute to Rich Mullins. Also, Steven Curtis Chapman has the song "With Hope" which is dedicated to a friend who passed away. Let me know if I can help.

The only song I can think of with violins is "Dust In The Wind" by Kansas

well my frst suggestion would be what a wonderful life by Louis Armstrong. not real heavy on the violins but will definately leave a strong emotional impact. please check it out before you dismiss the idea, I really think you will like it and I am sorry about your cousin

My wife knows music better than me and she suggests "lucky old sun" covered by The Jerry Garcia Band, origianally-Haven Gillespie & Beasley Smith "lord above, can't you hear me cry? Tears unending, oh my. send down that cloud with the simple life, lift me up to paradise.",

"Friends"(1978,the first time I saw small men climbing the green pyramids of pink floyd) by Zepplin, my first thought was "Follow your bliss" by the B52's.If you want something to send him home with,I would recomend "Morning Dew" by the Grateful Dead,my all time favorites!

Sorry to hear that.

Try these:

Karma Police by Radiohead
or Sober and Undertow by Tool

I would suggest looking at the work of Yoko Kanno.
She is a wonderful composer and singer.
She has created songs and full CD sets for many movies and anime.
Its hard to pick just one from her selection.

ANd if you like them, just search and download them from Limewire. I am most likely sure they are available there.
IF not, give me a message and I can make them available for you.
