It's actually a 50/50 chance that Harry is going to die in the last book. As the prophecy goes, "Neither can live while the other survives...". Referring of course to Harry and Voldemort, one of them has to die in the last book so that the prophecy can be fulfilled.

i think it would upset a lot of kiddies if Harry did die maybe both Voldermort and harry both die who knows, have to wait until the deathly hallows is published then yahoo will be having debates for the next 6 months about "whether you thought it was a good idea for whoever to die" or " did you think it would be whoever who would die"

I would expect that it is going to be someone like Snape but JK Rowling does like the unexpected so maybe it will be Harry.

I think Harry will die - everything is pointing towards it - but then again, there could be a twist!

i dont think he is !because if he does theres not going to be any meaning of everything that has happened so far!!!there should be a happy ending. i also think dumbledore's alive because he wouldnt just let himself die just like that.voldemort will surely die.i want sirius to come back though!saddest bit of the whole book that was!

Okay, so the next HP book will be Harry trying to find the horcruxes and destroying them so that Voldemort will die... I'm GUESSING that the last horcrux will be Harry's scar, and he'll have to die in order to kill Voldemort...
That's just what I think, though. I could be totally wrong.

Probably YES, actually J.K rolling mentioned Harry's death while being interviewed by medias.But In my opinion, I don't want him to be murdered by voldemort

It would make sense thematically. I doubt if JK will have the bottle to do it though.
My guess: Dumbledore isn't dead (Polyjuice replica), Ron will go, and Hagrid and Snape. (Who is still on the side of the goodies.)
