You may want to consider Cali, there is no plcae in the U.S. that is going to be completely gay friendly besides parts of California and maybe NY.

Meadville is a small town in northern Pennsylvania. Population was 13,000 at the 2000 census. I doubt that it's gay friendly. It's just off I-79 on the way to Erie, PA. It's a small town with a lot of Christian churches. It's very isolated and it's far from any major city with a population of over 50,000.

Don't know, but I do know that Gettysburg is just fine. Unofficial advice: try any (nonbobjonesy) college town, as they are likely to be much more tolerant. I'm not linked into that, but I imagine Gettysburg has its places; I know the college has its allegiances.
I figure Allegheny would be that way too, but as I say, I don't know.
