You support child labor every time you buy goods made in China, India, Taiwan, Philippines and Singapore and every time you preach about letting those stinkin' illegals slime across the Rio Grande: what the hel* are you whining about?

a couple of issues here...
1. most countries that have child labor, have high unemployment rates, so the children are actually taking jobs from their parents... and complaines don't pay them as much because they are children...
2. children should be in public school... learning, so they can make the country better overall... this would be paid for though taxes levied on the complaines... compaines using child labor often make mind-numbing profits... due to the fact that they have small costs of production in these areas...
put down a minimum wage for adults, tax the adults wages and get the companies to actually help the community, instead of abuse the community... they are making tons of money at the plight of the children...
let them make their money, but make them give a bit back too... let them have profit, just not unusually high profit...
every child should have an education and your country will be stronger for it in the end... since it will have smarter adults who were educated...

I don't know where you live, but in the United States it's agains the law. There are resourses to provide for children If you know of any cases of child labor contact the authorities. If you are a victom they will see you get the proper assistance. Any child younger than 16 in the United States is not allowed to work unless they have clearance from the authorities.

I do not approve of child labor. America stopped this in the early 20th Century as part of the Industrial Revolution. It is important that children spend their days in school and not around machinery that they are too small to operate.
As for getting money for food and other necessary items, it is important that employers and governments around the world increase wages so that people do not have to beg for food or send their children into unsafe environments just so that they can survive. When people stop buying products that are made under slave-like conditions, then companies and governments will have no choice but to improve working conditions for their people. But so long as we continue buying things that say "Made in China", "Made in Mexico", made in ... wherever, this only encourages and enables those companies to continue what they've been doing all along.

To judge by the spelling and phrasing of this question,I think most of you missed the point. This seems to be a child asking the question and has probably heard the terminology used elsewhere.He/she is probably a child laborer earning money to feed his/her family and is afraid they might not have enough to eat.The answer is not easy. Here in the U.S.A. it is illegal and punishable by fines and jail time.We wish our children to use their formative years to get a good education first, enjoy their childhood, but prepare properly for their wage earning adulthood. This way they can do the same for their children.

child labor is fine by me as long as the child isnt being paid unfairly because they are a child. there are laws in the u.s. saying you must be a certain age but they vary from state to state. I dont think a little work ever hurt anyone.
