which one is better raw or smackdown

Well it depends on what you prefer...
Smackdown is more family oriented. It doesnt have as much profanity or sexual references or anything like that. Raw is slightly the opposite.
Raw is live, to a certain extent, therefore the atmosphere tends to be a little more exciting. Smackdown is taped, so it is slightly the opposite.
Smackdown seems to have more exciting tag teams. Raw has most of the single stars (HHH, Flair, HBK, etc...). Smackdown usually has newer talent, it seems; Raw has the old favorites. Both have jobbers as needed.
Both have good AND bad storylines. However, Smackdown has The Miz, and so its quality level plummets with each week we are forced to suffer through seeing that miserable little punk come on the show and poorly attempt to wrestle.
As of right now...I'd say Raw is the better show. But Batista is pretty damn hot, so I mean, we cant just forget Smackdown entirely, hehehe. =)

Raw is better because it is the first show that wwe had. It is also the top brand everybody knows that because none of the superstars want to be on smackdown. Just ask Batista who has been fighting with wwe managment to put him back on raw since the day he got traded. Even Kurt Angle didn't want to be on smackdown. he only went there to win the world title. And when they wanted to trade him to smackdown from raw he went to ecw instead. And if you think about it al the new stars are put on smackdown then they get put or traded to raw once they become an ultimate fan favorite (like John Cena)

RAW, it seems to have more people we know than Smackdown. I didn't even know who Dave Taylor was until I saw him with William Regal. Some of the people the cuiserweights fight i dont even know. Raw also has a better Women's Division. That's why I think Raw is better than Smackdown.

There are different periods for each brand , like some months ago when Dx ruled raw it had much demand and now i think raw is isolated , and on this episode of smackdown khali attacked kane so i think the t.r.p. has increased , raw deals with storylines , smackdown has nothing but wrestling it also deals with culture like Bogeyman from - Bottomless pit, finlay from ireland with leprechuan , superstars from death valley,etc. the first punjabi prison, an inferno and last ride matches were first introduced from smackdown, while raw is like a local american brand , as for e.c.w. it is useless.

Well, you leave me with the 2 best options, the 3rd option absolutely sucks (the New Breed of ECW). Considering the fact Raw has mostly powerhouses and Smackdown has cruiserweights, it's hard for me to decide. I'll flip a coin right now to decide, heads = Raw, tails = Smackdown................ Raw it is!!
