It may well be true that you received such a message, but, it is unfortunately not true that you have won a prize through that message.

This sounds very much like a scam and spam too. First of all the email address sounds bogus. Why would msn use yahoo when they own hotmail? Secondly how would they get your email from some random source if they were legit when you didn't enter something with them? Some ppl and organizations buy or otherwise harvest lists of emails. Many message boards are plagued with "data mining" attempts to gain personal info about ppl who post there. If they asked you to send personal info or worse yet money or your bank or credit card info it is totally a scam and an attempt to rip you off. If you sent them any info on bank or credit card contact your pank or credit card provider immediately and cancel that account. You might also report this to abuse@yahoo.com but there is so much of this happening that unfortunately most email providers don't do a lot about it.

Obviously not!!!!! Microsoft (as MSN is stated in the email address) has its own E-mail stuff which is MSN Hotmail. How come that it uses Yahoo to send emails?
That's definitely a scam!!
