Changes Indian cinema needs are:
i) Better remuneration for strory and screenplay writers, so that the best can be attracted.
ii) A lot of hardwork on Gizmos and special effects.
iii) Originality in stunts and special effects, even big buget movies in Hindi have entire stunt and action sequences copied from Hollywood.
iv) Simplfication of dialogues please. And change over to more natural everyday language which is spoken by common Hindi speaking people.
v) Lots of imagination on part of directors. May be we need to increase their remuneration too, to rope in the best in the trade.
vi) Venturing into new territories like science fiction and please we have had a lot of religious fiction so spare that and instead work on some thought provoking ideas like those of 'Water World' and say 'X-men'.
vii) And enough of catering to NRI's and their romances.
viii) If there is a need of making a sex movies, then make a sex movie unapologetically. If some unorthodox values need to be projected then again why feel defensive about it.
ix) while making war movies, please-please do some serious research esp in small things like use of weapons, and some basic war tactics and see ' Saving Private Ryan' a hundred times.
x)The most successful genre of all times is action. So, do pay attention to it, a lot of action mixed with a good story and lots of emotions thrown in is unbeatable.
xi) Comedy is not about behaving idiotically or pushing in some double meaning dialogues. Comedy is about situations which becomes hilarious. Watch Jakie Chan's earlier movies like 'Project A' etc. to understand it.
xii) Now the audience has the access to the best in the world and copying the ideas or situations from here and there won't work. So, be original. Pay more to director and story writers and cut from the package of Star Actors.
xiii) If one is fond of songs then release the albums separately and do not slow down the movie. If there is a song which can be integreted to the story itself (say in a musical genre movie) or the song which can rev up the background then only it should be included.
The to do list is endless. This much is okay for now.
