We will just give them monthly payments without all of us helping. Monthly payments for police, fire, water, traffic lights, roads, army, etc.

Most of what you listed is paid for from property taxes. People who own real estate pay taxes which supports the municipalities, schools, etc.

The roads and army are paid for by Federal taxes, and Republicans are happy to pay our share for those services.

So I am not getting what you are driving at here, exactly, but liberals cannot fund their social programs without all of us paying.

That might work. If they don't pay they don't get help. Wow, a mansion on fire and the fire department watching it burn because they haven't paid their bill. Yet, down the hill a little 1200 square foot house catches fire and the FD is there in a few minutes and put out the fire. Damage is minimal.

And, if the conservative loses his job he gets no unemployment, and of course no social security when he retires. He should save or have his relatives take care of him. Of course he will always be able to pay for his own medical care and medicines all by himself. He won't need medicare. He can pay out of pocket.

If the country goes to war will each conservative adopt a soldier or sailor paying for all his equipment, uniform, or weapon? Taxes pay for all that. Of course if his soldier is wounded the conservative will need to pay for his medical care and if he dies the conservative might need to help his widow, orphans, and to bury him.

Of course they would have to pay for the education of their kids from K- 12 even for college. But they can afford it. The middle class Republican conservative can easily afford to pay for all of these services. They must, they support such ideas. Otherwise they would at least allow some taxes.

I worked for the IRS Collection Division for 28 yrs, believe me I saw many cases where IRS employees let people get away with not paying anything, nothing , nil zero, "0" on huge tax debts, even tho they could pay most or all of their tax debt. If you don't believe me, read some of David Cay Johstons (NY Times) stories abouts the IRS letting people get away with murder. Thesr articles were written back around 1998, 99. It's only gotten worse since then. I wrote to the National Office of the IRS when I worked there and asked them (the big shots) if they knew the IRS was guilty of Fraud, waste and abuse. The IRS can have my name etc any time. PS I have copies of actual IRS case write ups that support my story, so you won't see anyone from the IRS coming on line here challenging my story. Ask former Commissioner Charles Rosotti to come on here, I told him face to face about the problem, he said he didn't believe it was happening because it was against our own policies. I invited him to see the case write ups I had at my desk. His response was to look around the room and say, "Next Question". Have a happy April 15th everyone. So my answer to your ? is no.

I am not a Republican but I am a Conservative and what I hate is paying taxes for the support of those who will not work. I hate being forced to give to a charity which I do not agree with. When property is taken by force from the one who owns and is given to another who has no right to it then an act of plunder has been perpetrated.

Basic services like police, fire, roads, schools, and the army are not the problem. The over abundance of pork barrel bull-**** is.

don't tax them, which means they're excluded from participation in all aspects of our society: no right to vote or run for office, no use of public roads, no use of public school system, no assistance from fire or police services, etc. and no protection from al qaeda.....

LOL aye, just send them a bill for schools, using roads, streetlights, etc. In addition, might I suggest they pick up the tab for the Iraq war and any other neocon fantasy that involves bombing more brown people back into the stone age?

I don't mind paying for basic services. It's all the other crap we really don't need.

Foreign aid comes to mind as a start.

a very dark part of me would LOVE to see the south 5 years after public education was taken away, as I've heard several Republicans comment on...

it would be a third world country... literally...

You'd cry foul when we only policed, protected, lit, and paved our own neighborhoods. God I'd love to see ya do it!
