Flow charting only addresses static program design. It does not document the dynamic software architecture. It only addresses half of the problem

Just takes some time and effort.
Flowcharting actually helps ensure you have no flaws in your design. Sort of like the ISO9000 certification for a company.

in case you have Microsoft workplace on your equipment, open an utility mutually with Excel, and on the Menu Bar, pick View>Toolbars, and choose Drawing. From the Drawing toolbar, pick Autoshapes>Flowchart. this could get you going at minimum fee!
