study ahead of time, every night after class reveiw your notes and make a list of topics that are harder for you, at the end of everyweek review those topics. if you study throughout the semester then you will actually know the material and wont just be cramming, so that when you study before the exam its just a refresher.

if you are prepared and just freaking out, try and relax the night before the exam. dont study the night before! you either know it by then or you dont.

during the test use other questions to help you answer ones you have trouble with, and go with your first answer. usually its the right one.
and accept that you are gonna do the best you can do, and that will have to be good enough.

good luck!

How can you fear something that has not happened yet.?
up until the time it happens it is not a problem.
When you are finished the exam, it is gone, so nothing to worry about there.
The only time it is a problem, is when you are writing it, but you will be far to busy then to worry about it.
So Smile , be happy
There was never a problem so large, that if ignored long enough, didn't go away on it's own.

You plan for your exam in a professional manner. Make a time-table for preparation and stick to that . Review your preparation atleast once. Before the exams (atleast one hour) do not touch your book. Instead, if you like music listen to that. After receiving the question paper, read atleast TWO times the question paper. Then choose your questions which you are comfortable. This would eliminate the exam fear.completely.

hi Rubi, 1. Fear for exam is always there for all students, the best students and the weak. So if you have fear feel natural. 2.Excessive fear for exam that disturbs your study is bad. You can get rid of it in the following way : (a) Sleep well when you are feeling sleep. Before going to sleep, mentally recollect what you have learned and also what time you should get up and what you will study. you will find your biological clock will awaken you prepared for that in right time. (b) Once awake, dont laze and waste time. Every moment is prepared. Create tension in yourself- oh this is to be studied, that is also to be read nicely and then concentrate on study chapter in hand. (c) Plan your study as per time available. If you have less time and you think you can answer average to get pass marks, then choose important topics and read them well to increase your marks. If you think you still need to study for the pass marks. Then study very important chapters first and just dump other. If you are in high percentage mark bracket- assign yourself to read and remember fine lines and notes so that you can answer and write more. (d) Avoid, excessive coffee, tea. Drink sips of water. Go to gossip to friends if feeling sleepy. (e) Dont read very important topics at 10 pm, 12.30 night, 3 am and 6 am. These are the times the brain is going to sleep cycles. Read these topics when you are fresh and alert. (f) Do prayers. Light an incense stick and pray for good studies. It will take away fear. (g) Remember not to shout, get angry or laugh very loudly for some time till the exams are over. They distract the mind. (h) Dont watch, listen or talk implicit distractions. Donot dream and waste time. Finally ; CONCENTRATE......CONCENTRATE......CONCEN... ask your mind eyes and all senses to concentrate on topic at hand. tell yourself DAR SABKO LAGTA HAI, GALA SABKA SUKHTA HAI. get ready and get going.exams are fun. all the best

Don't get rid of it, use it to your advantage. Let the worry come, and act on it by studying all you can up to the night before the test. Then get to bed early knowing that you've done all you can do to prepare. Even if you aren't completely prepared, accept that you've done all you can do. There's nothing to fear when you realize you've done all you can.

Then in the morning let the anxiety get your blood flowing again and your brain firing on all cylinders. By the time the exam comes you should be ready to fly right thru it.

My daughter had these same issues. So I told her to remember that it is the teacher who is being examined not you. If you do poorly it looks bad on the teacher. Just do the best you can.

My dad kept up on his studies so knew he knew all he could. The night before a big exam he went out to the movies to relax. He figured that if he didn't know it by then it wouldn't do any good cramming for it now. He has a doctoral degree.

None of this may help you but they are nice stories.

Best of luck to you in you endeavors.

I wish I knew. I will say the less I worry the better. I have learned that worrying only makes it worse. I know what I know and all I can do is express that on paper as best I can. I have found that most tests I take is not to test your knowledge but will test your ability to decipher the information at hand. Common sense rules.
