Depends on who your provider is. In general if it is a service that they even offer you may end up paying more for "unbundled" DSL service. You may also find that they only offer a certain speed tier without also having an analog line.

Technically there you do not require an analog line to have DSL service, even though they are delivered over the same wire.

Nope DSL is ran through a phone line.

you need the phone line active to get the dsl
