Hey,
I was just after some information from either American or Australian soapies (eg. Home & Away, Neighbours (Australian) or The Bold & The Beautiful, The OC (America)). I need examples of scenes that show:
*How males and females are stereotyped?
*What kind of relationships are shown?
*Does the show give a true portrayal of teenage relationships, in relation to romantic relationships?
*What Cultures/Nationalities are represented?
*Based on these relationships/stereotypes/cultures, how do people treat each other?

I'm not too worried about the Australian shows but the ones from America would help heaps! If you can't be stuffed writing out all the points one sentence explaining the scene in relation to stereotypes will still be awesome! Thanks!

I just have a in class assessment on this and I want to be able to compare Australian shows with American ones, with direct references to scenes.

Firstly, if this is for an assessment you should be doing this yourself. How can you verify the episodes or anything that is supplied here? As a marker at a university, we give 0 for work we find that is unverifiable or plagiarised.

Having said that... I love soaps. So here we go:

The Bold and Beautiful (B&B), Young and the Restless (Y&R) and the 90210 are classic soaps.

The characters are very familiar - no sudden changes to the cast. Viewers get emotionally attached to characters they can relate to so producers keep the cast recognisable.

Similar to this point, the stereotype is basically one for every person in the desired demographic. B&B is in the day time so the characters are older with more mature problems like having children, divorce and cheating.

The OC and 90210 are aimed at younger viewers so the issues are more relatable to that demographic: dating, cheating, school and work vs. friends and popularity, sexuality etc.

This is just the tip of the iceburg - have fun with this assignment it's a good topic.

this seen "ideal to counsel" got here up because of the fact of disability to take out counsel 'at will' via oneself. historical people had developed so nicely that they ask very few questions. via basically observing a individual they be attentive to each thing this is mandatory to be standard. yet right this moment, the 'creative and prescient' is incapable of going that deep. that's the reason 'woman seeing' for searching for alliances looks fully meaningless, and we choose an excellent sort of instructions, chat instructions, relationship, conferences and so on, to learn if the 'chemistry' fits. "ideal to counsel" clause won't paintings the place relationships are non-commercial. Intelligence is the sole gadget obtainable. If marriage is a "settlement" then, interior the "Hindu way of existence" why did they no longer supply for chantings, rituals to break up, and re-get admission to into the start 'gothra'?
