When you were going to introduce your child to your new boyfriend/girlfriend, how and when did you go about doing it?

Did you introduce them right away, or hold off until the relationship was further along? And what age was your child? Would you have done it differently if your child was older or younger?

My son is 12 months, and a very close friend of mine recently came back into the picture, after having been away for 2 years. He knows about my son, but has never met him, and I am uncertain about how my relationship with my friend stands now, whether it will become romantic or be platonic.

Well, I was seeing this guy for a bit, but not seriously dating him, and he met my daughter by just stopping over one day to watch movies. If she were older though (she was 14 months at the time) I would've waited.

Be totally honest, that can never hurt you. If he doesn't like it now, he won't like it after a while when you tell him.

let your kid meet him... just not share your life with the new person and your kid.. or he may become too attached
