Pffft...those people know nothing. If you're staying in a half way decent hotel or home in LA, then they should get cable, and with that cable they should get UKTV. As the name suggests, they play all things British in television, including Corrie and Easties, they are probably up to 18 months behind the current episode being shown in England. Unfortunately for us travelling Aussies they don't yet have ANZTV, but when they do I fully expect there to Neighbours, Home and Away and McCleod's Daughters on it. As for the show times, they usually show Corrie and Easties along with Family Affairs and Emerdale in a two hour block, from 4pm to 6pm. To be fair the US has a pretty out there soap called Passions, which I have found a hoot if you like to laugh, a sort of Footballers Wives meets The Godfather on LSD with a side order of magic mushrooms thrown in for good measure. If the place in LA you're going to doesn't have UKTV, then you're out of luck. Bon Voyage.

We get Eastenders, which I haven't watched in years and years. I can't stands soaps now.

yes we get them here but here is Michigan and we get Candaian stations they are on CBC..
