You have to retrain your thought process. Stop before you speak and think about what you are getting ready to say. Does it sound negative? Is it cutting someone else down? Is it going ot hurt someone's feelings?
Try to look on the brighter side of any situation. It isn't always easy, but you can remind yourself that when things aren't going the way you wanted them to or thought they would, remind yourself that someone else is having a lot harder time than you. That is not to say you should revel in others misfortune, but know that your problems could be much worse. Bearing that in mind, in may make you feel better if you sought out someone in a worse situation than you and offered a hand to them. Helping and giving have tremendous power to lift your spirit.
If you start your day trudging out of bed dreading the task you have to do, try thinking of the same things in the positive light. You are getting out of a warm bed that you'll be able to come back to, you have a home, and have things to do and people to see. Others aren't so blessed. Do you have a family? Loved ones and close friends? Grab onto the joy of being able to have them in your life. Also take time to do things that are enjoyable for you. Read a positve book, watch a positve movie, play some games with you family, spend more time laughing. Laughter is a great healer and mood lifter. And last, try not to watch or read all the negative news and gossip out there. It is good to know what is going on in the world, but you don't have to marinate yourself it it.

Understand this. We - you and I and everybody else is struggling in this thing called life. It isn't easy. Now ask yourself do I want to be part of the solution or part of the problem in my day to day activities? Get tough and don't make excuses. Take responsibility. Be a man. When you do this you will be positive. And your life will be rewarding. Its up to you in this free country we live in. Nobody is going to hold your hand and guide you through all the difficulties. You are on the right path by asking for help, that is good. Now help others and serve others. You can do it if you want to. Don't make excuses.

if your a ninja you would be positive 95 % of the time about everything?
im not saying the other 5 % would not be scarry.
"but feed the fire" if your feeling negative go to a book store and read some positive lit.

Whenever you think of something negative, just think of its opposite, which is positive. Then you can't go wrong because your thoughts will be positive, hence your words and actions will be positive. And remember that however you think is what you will become (and do).

Make yourself think of one good thing about each person you come in contact with. It's easier said than done but it forces you to start thinking about the good in everyone. When you find yourself saying something negative, follow it up with something good.
