Hi Erica, I'm from a seaside town called Eastbourne approximately 70-80 miles south of London. It's pleasant here with lovely Downland walks (hills) with lots of nice village pubs and easy access to airports such as London Gatwick and Heathrow. There are plenty of old Castles around, my favourite being Hever Castle of Henry VIII fame. We have Pevensey Castle ruins here and of course Battle Abbey erected by the Duke of Normandy when the French beat the Anglo Saxon army at Battle near Hastings in 1066.
