I have RoadRunner Internet Service, attempting to log on. When booting computer, I get as far as logging into windows and nothing further then that. I tried logging in under safe mode and attempted to try a few things there and still no luck. Any suggestions??

I run into this a lot. I may not be roadrunner but your modem. You don't say how old it is. I find that sometimes, if I turn off my computer and totally 'power down' - including the modem - it will boot up again. I'm using a B modem and I know technology has changed a lot. Also, you might want to see if there is an update to your nic card... (auto updates should tell you). Next time you're in windows auto updates.... try click on custom and see if it finds newer drivers for your NIC card.
