Pray for him and release your anger. Hatred is one of satans tools he uses to partition us from true happiness. If you stop playing his game he will move on to someone else. You give him the power he has and can take that power away just as easily. By allowing him to affect you it makes his day and ruins yours. Don't allow him to have that grip on your emotions and you will be able to laugh at situations that used to make you cry.

It may be impossible to stop hating someone so long as you are constantly exposed to them and their bad habits. You do not say here, however, what the job is or what your boss does that drives you so nuts. Is he doing something wrong? If so, report him to his supervisor. Is he harassing you? Get an attorney. It is not legal for him to harass you. Other than that, without further information, it is impossible to tell you what to do. You can't get advice to stop actions that you have not described here.

Regardless, changing jobs is NEVER out of the question. This isn't some communist country where you're work is assigned to you permanently. But that doesn't mean it is easy. That said, you have to ask yourself: is it worth staying under any circumstances if you hate working there? Staying at a stressful job can be unhealthy, and even life-threatening under some circumstances. If your job does not provide for a grievance process to protect its employees, then it will be within your best interests to start looking for something new. Either your job provides you with an out for the situation, or it is not a job worth keeping. Crappy bosses exist because we let them.

Why is changing jobs out of the question?

Tell your boss to stop. Whatever it is that he is doing that is making it impossible for you to function normally is partly HIS dysfunction too. If he is a business man, he will want you to be able to work at your peak performance. And that will mean knowing how he can contribute positively to that.

Be honest, be pro-active, but have your resume ready just in case, because people normally can't take working with someone they hate for very long.

And if it comes right down to it, start counting the things he does right. Gratitude seems self perpetuating. If it is only the fact that his skin is keeping his hair on his body and out of your coffee, it's something to start with.

Blessings~

For whatever reason you hate your boss, you should be yourself and do your job to the best of your ability. You know, I used to feel inferior to my bosses and let them get the best of me, but I realized a boss is not there to tell everyone what to do and dictate. They are your superior so you have someone to go to when you need to be guided and need support when it comes to your job. Now, I stand up to my boss and if there is something I don't agree with I let them know. If you stand up to this person in a professionall manner, maybe your boss will ease up on you and realize he/she is difficult to work for. But no person should feel like they cant speak because they are afraid they will get fired. Thats where the labor board comes in.

I had a **** boss. He was quite verbally abusive to his staff. I always responded to his insults with a statement like "yeah" or "ok" it drove him insane. Hatred is a strong feeling. I guess you could remind yourself that he probably feels threatened by others which is why he's a jerk. It's hard when you don't know the situation. Let me tell you this though, quitting to his face was the best feeling ever. but if it's not an option i guess there's not much you can do, sorry.

that is a very good question, the guy 2 above me i think said the best thing. i had a boss who was horrible and shouvenistic and every time he ordered me to do something i just wanted to shove his head through a brick wall. in the end i jst had to quite because i couldn't take it anymore.

i think the only way to resolve hatred is to talk about whats bothering you with that person.

but i know this is not logical. as 9 times out of 10 they end up laughing at you.
