No illegals, no children, no criminals.

The supposeded cons are that it might be hard for the very elderly to have driver's licenses, however, they need ID for health reasons, typically, so I think over a certain age using that would be ok.

The other cons don't make sense.

The pros are obvious.

Only US citizens are supposed to vote, and it is very easy to enforce that. What is the reason NOT to?

Gaila, do you personally know anyone EVER who left a polling place, not to return, because a line was long?

Pro = Reduce voter fraud
Cons = ???? Can't think of one

Gaila - should we do away with all things that are inconvenient. The people of Iraq walked to the polls to proudly cast their first legitimate vote in years where they had to wait in long lines and then walked home with purple ink on their fingers all the while being a potential target of those that opposed the freedom they were being given. If you don't want to vote because you are inconvenienced then please don't. Makes my vote count for that much more.

Pros:

1. Worthless inner city liberals will stop voting 15 times each.

2. Ideally all illegals trying to vote will be deported then shot if they try and return.

Cons:

1. None

Well, you already have plenty of pros so I'll give you a con.
If you forget your ID and you live a long distance, you may be prevented from voting.

Any further requirements can add to the time required to vote adn the number of volunteers needed. This could discourage voting if long lines form.

It would help reduce vote fraud, but not by a great percentage I'd say.

Currently I'm registered in 3 different counties under 8 different names. if they started requireing IDs to vote I would have to encure the expence of buying 8 fake ID cards, which i can't afford then you couple that with the fact I'm here illegally and then I would only be able to vote under my main false name which, by the way, I have never done because I don't want to be called for jury duty. So just keep it the way it is and don't make it hard for me OK!!!!!

There actually shouldn't be ANY cons, since it is appropriate to verify your identity to cast your vote, and also illegal not to have an identification.
Pros include having direct record of who voted and when, and also being able to verify someone's citizenship, voter registration, etc...
