first find the slope of the line that passes through those to points
m = (y2-y1)(x2-x1)
m = (14-2)/(3-2)
m = 12
Lines that are parallel have the same slope
So the slope of a line parallel to a line of slope 12, would have a slope of 12

y=12x+22 is the equation of the line.
y = 12x+b is the family of lines parallel to the above line. where be is any number not equal to 22

For a line to be parallel to the line going through those points, it (by definition) must have the same slope. Slope is rise over run, so:

slope = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
slope = (14-2)/(3-2)
slope = 12

The slope of the line parallel to the line through those points will be 12.

An example of such a line would by y = 12x.

the respond is c. considering that parallel traces have a similar slope you are able to create a line equation with the given records. 3y = -4x - 7 ( subtract 4x and seven from the two sides of equation) y = -4/3x - 7/3 (divide the two sides of equation by skill of three) -4/3 is the slope.

the equation for this line is :(y-y1)/((x-x1) = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1);
i.e., y=12x -22;
The slope of a line joining any two points is y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = 12
the slope of any line parallel to this is equal to its slope = 12.

parallel lines have the same slope.
so let point (3,14) = (x1,y1)
and let point (2,2)=(x2,y2)

let slope be m
where m = (y1-y2) / (x1-x2) and solving that would be your answer since ALL lines parallel would have the same slope.

umm. the slope is 12.

becasue you do the change in thew y's over the change in the x.

and the change in the y.
is 12. and the change in the x is 1.
12/1 equals a slope of 12.
