i use ultimate-guitar.com or guitartabs.com. in both sites users can rate the tabs they use, so when you look for a tab you can go straight to ones that are rated high.

Actually, to be honest with you, you're better off buying the books. Tabs usually don't give any information about timing, rhythm, strumming pattern, or anything like that. To make good use of a tab, you pretty much have to know the song already before you look up the tab. However, if you really absolutely must use a tab, I recommend www.ultimate-guitar.com. I've gotten about 99% of my tabs from them, and they've all sounded correct when I played them.
Aside from traditional tabs, you could also try downloading a program such as Power Tab or Guitar Pro. I believe Guitar Pro costs to download, but I know Power Tab was free. The way Power Tab works is it provides you with the traditional "sheet music" style like you would see in a book, and it also gives you a tab for the song. You can also hear the song "played" in a way that provides you with a basic rhythm and timing of the song.
I hope I helped. And, if all else fails, you can always do a google search for "guitar tabs."
