Uncultured, obese, intellectually devoid, corrupt, warmongering, consumers destroying the earth through pollutants (both actual and cultural) and stealth empiricism.
What can we do to stop them?

This question comes from an Englishman who lives in Taiwan!! What audacity! You attack the same America that bailed you out in WWII, and is keeping your adopted home from being vaporized by China. Just try the world without America for a while and see where that gets you.

Enterprising, industrious, inventive, charitable, spiritual, generous, energetic, creative, genius, productive, neighborly, peace-loving, self-sacrificing, educated, law-abiding, innovatively developing technologies to reduce pollution and clean the environment, compassionate, loving, family-centered, wealth-creating, poverty-reducing, artistic, enthusiastic, evil-resisting, defenseless-protecting, intelligent, primarily healthy, disaster-victim-aiding, problem-solving, courageous.

There is nothing you negativist, elitist, self-involved charlatans can do to stop us Americans, and the whole world is grateful for that.

I am American, and I agree with your general assessment. However, calling America the Cancer of the Earth, you will only get self-defensive attacks for your use of terms - as you can see from all the other answers. This is because most Americans (and most people in general), find it difficult to be objective and self-critical.

America is the richest and most powerful country in the world in terms of money and power, and we are taught that at a very young age, and many Americans still believe it when they are adults - as you can see from the other comments.

But America also has:
1. Highest cancer rates in the "developed" world.
2. Highest obesity rates.
3. Highest substance/drug abuse rates.
4. Highest violent crime/murder rates.
5. Highest poverty & wealth disparity rates ("developed" world).
6. Highest mental illness rates.
7. Highest infant mortality rates.

Obviously, something IS wrong with our country. We are definitely NOT #1 in terms of peace, health, and happiness - because these values are less important than money and power.

Americans do not see that how we are as a country sets an example for the world. If we chase money and power, so will much of the world. If we build up armies and nuclear weapons, others will do the same. If we pollute even more, others will copy and think it's OK. If we are selfish and self-interested, so will others likely be. And long-term, Everybody will Lose and be Losers - as you can see that the state of the world is getting worse, and not better.

You can not stop Americans - ultimately, they must stop themselves. You can only raise your own awareness, share that awareness, and not learn from America, and live another way, and perhaps others will learn from you.

I'm so sick of American bashers. America is like the Microsoft of the world. Everyone loves to hate them but almost everyone goes to them when they need something.

America has it's faults but I'll take that any day over some backwards-live-like-it's-the-middle-ages country.

Every country out there is doing it's part to cause damage to the world through pollution, but if you think it's more cultured to live in a cave, knock yourself out. Hey, maybe you can ask for a goat the next time your country gets hit by a tsunami or earthquake.

i am not American but i noticed you didn't say where you were from funny that hey?,every country on this earth is contributing to the death of this planet including yours,Africa is in turmoil, south America is killing the planets biggest natural rain forest and infecting the world with drugs along with alot of Asian countries, the sub continent has massive pollution problems and is populating the earth with more people than the earth can sustain, the middle east hasn't had peace for as long as anyone can remember the list could go on,
so maybe ask yourself what can we do to stop your country as well-because im sure its not innocent either.

Hey, thanks!

Where do you get your unbiased and completely rational opinion?
Interestingly enough, I am probably from your country of origin, just 400 years removed since my family chose to emigrate here in the 1600's.

By the way, when you spew stuff like this, it makes you look worse than those of us you are criticizing.
Try and ask a more helpful question next time.

LMAO

Only someone who is jealous of us or fearful of us would rant about the USA like that. I suggest you grow up.

To answer your question. No, America is the cure for the world's ailments, we are not the cancer.

And you can't stop us. If you try, you will be plowed under by the greatest economic, military, social, democratic power this world has ever seen.

So, Yes! even though others too are responsible. US is reservoir of all evil.....

How do you not like America?
Sure, we're sending it off, but it's not like you're gonna live to see the world explode, so get over yourself.
