Several times I have felt the breeze from the grim reaper's scythe.

Why yes I have, and a little too close for comfort, I might add...
I was crossing a busy street and lots of cars were there, and all were slowing to a stop because of a red light, and one far left lane was open with no cars, and I was crossing while all cars were stopped, and much to my dismay, as I stepped out in the far left lane to finish my crossing, I saw a car coming and I ran the rest of the way only to be slightly hit on my rear end as I took my last step to finish...
I was not hurt, just scared...
I waved to the driver that I was ok, but years later I found out that the slight bump I got caused my spine to fracture and pinch my sciatic nerve and now I am disabled...
I ended up working 23 years after this happened, so there was no way to prove someone hit me by a car and no way to seek damages...
Just one of those flukes in life...
I am glad I was not killed of course...
I now wish I had at least talked to the driver that hit me...
Oh well...Water under the bridge...
