What is the most times you have gone back for interviews for a single job?

My record is 9 for a job I didn't get and 6 for a job I did get. Both government jobs. A friend of mine was interviewed 18 times at Coca-Cola over a period of 5 months. They finally hired him and he quit 3 weeks later.

Lol. That's great about your friend. 18 times is a bit too many. They should have been more selective in what they did instead of doing it in stages or something. Or could have passed personal judgement on how likeable and qualified he though the individual was (I know, it may sound prejudice, but it gets the job done a lot faster--and often serves better than anything on paper!).
Maybe they were testing the endurance of your friend.
Me---I've never had more than two from the same person for the same job. I have had district screening interviews and phone interviews beforehand, but does that count?

For my new job, I had a career fair interview, an interview with the HR manager, the district manager, a phone interview, a second phone interview, a job preview, another phone interview and finally a job offer, but yours sounds like it was more than my situation!! Wow!

I have applied and interviewed for 1 job, I worked at Longs for 2 years and quit
And “Walked On To” 2 other jobs (didn’t applied for just was asked to work for) Durham Metaltech Inc. for one year. An worked for Llano Saco Rancho an still do for a year now

I've been interviewed 4 times but I have heard of someone having 8 interviews (I thought to myself now there's a company that can't make a decision)
But 18 times (for the same position) is insane. After 8 times I would have told them thanks but no thanks.
