and think of yourselves as Americans first?

Look at voting records of our leaders, look at obvious political pandering for the next election cycle. Wake up and quit saying,"Democrat is better, Republican is better". It's ridiculous. Turn off the T.V., go outside and look around. This country is in trouble. We need to vote issues, we need a great leader and we don't have one as of yet.

I grew up Republican, in school I became a Democrat. After be married and having children I believe nobody is looking out for the working class family.

This time in history reminds me of the last days of the Roman Empire.

Golden - I want people to take America back from the special interest groups, the corporations, greedy politicians, and a general sense of apathy that is permiating our modern life. I think that at our current rate, we will self destruct.

This is a very polarizing time we live in and at times I feel like there is no hope for future generations.

You have made an important point, however there are no real leaders in this country. They are all bought and paid for by special interest groups, lobbyists, pharmaceutical companies, oil barons and The like. We are not going to find a leader with balls they are all out for themselves. Think about H.R. 25 The Fair Tax Act. It eliminates the IRS. It eliminates the 16th Amendment and I might add the Supreme Court of this Country called the 16th Amendment an ILLEGAL ACT. Did anyone in Government fight to get rid of it NO they voted to steal American workers dollars.
Why do we have Mandatory insurance? The Government borrows money from them and they need money to spend on useless enterprises. Why do gas prices go up ? The Government borrows money from them. You are right people need to look around and wake TFU.

Global Warming, Social Security, Foreign Oil, Medical Care, I can't afford to get sick or die, and I have a good job. None of this has anything to do with political parties.

Let's get to work. WE are the leaders.

Thank you !!! I feel the same way...I believe the media keeps the masses bickering between ourselves. I don't trust any of the polititions...they say one thing and do another. Just because it was written in the newspaper doesn't make it so.

not really a question, more of a rant. can't say i don't agree with you though. however, you've offered no solution other than needing a great leader.

If we didn't have this debate, we might as well resign ourselves to letting the government run every aspect of our lives.

I'm not planning on moving to N. Korea anytime soon.

Welcome to the Politics board.

I turned off my TV went outside and looked around. All I saw was a lovely middle class neighborhood full of nice middle class Americans at home with their families. What's your point?
