do you have anything of the person you knew before? something to draw him? or even an antique object from that time. or even a replica of items from that time period. write the ghost letters and leave them out by your bed or on your desk. if you know what sort of scent you used before, try to find it again. examples of fragrances from that time would be single florals, rose, lilac, etc. if you sew get some of the old time patterns from the pattern books and make yourself an outfit appropriate to the time period. if he senses the time period you are trying to connect with, it will be easier for him. It can be done. even consider decorating your room in period style. If you can find them i reccomend two movies i enjoyed on similar subjects, The two worlds of jenny logan, it was made for tv, and Somewhere in time with christopher reeve and jane seymour.

Welcome to my world. My resident ghost has been with me for over 20 years, and is with me because she loves me, and vice versus. There are times when she's not around as much as others, though...sometimes even for a few months at a time. She says we were lovers in a past life that she remembers and I don't, and she has always been a source of comfort and help to me.
Of course, as you've already discovered, telling folks about this sort of thing is bound to get you labeled as a looney, at best.
How to encourage it? Just send out that energy, he'll get the picture. Though some of the ideas above have some merit. If you can find things that attract him, things he associates with, or activities that encourage his presence, then by all means, do so.
So long as it's not causing anyone any harm I'd say go for it. As for being 150 years apart, ours is more like 600-700 hundred apart, as far as I can figure from what she remembers.

Wow, I'm gonna try here but I might be out of my league. You see the problem is, if you really are "in love" with this ghost...you have to help him. He's trapped, and encouraging him to "haunt" you more will only trap him even more in a realm where he does not belong. The weirdest thing is that, although it may seem to you now that you will miss him if he isn't here, the truth is that all time exists at the same time, so whatever connection you may have with him now, you are also having in another time. Getting on the same time plane is the goal, and if you can let him go in this form, here in your time, you may find him again in a more tangible form to you now, or at least allow another you to find him on another time plane somewhere else.....god, that sounds crazy hu?? But if you know what I mean, than you will appreciate what I'm saying. Good luck.

Sorry but the ghost is a demon and if you want to have a romance with a demon, he will soon become an incubus, who will come into your dreams and have sex with you, that is the risk you take, and if that is what you want, sex with a force you have no control over, then that is what you will get, so be very careful little one, incubus's are not fun, it is more like rape.

I say very respectfully, that I don't believe in ghost's....I think they are just demon's who are 'having fun' with us humans. It does sound romantic though, to think that you have a love for over the centuries! That they don't even want to move on with out you....sounds good.

I'm sorry, what drug did you say you were on? Listen, just tell your ghost to come around more. Tell him your feelings. I'm sure he'll see how hot you are and come around. You'll just have to tell him it's platonic, because you can't have sex with a non corporeal being.
