liberal mediums on radio and tv need subsidies: PBS, NPR, Air America (which went bankrupt)?

How come liberals do not understand that they are in fact out of touch with the average American?

As for conservatives,

Rush Limbaugh #1
Hannity #2
Beck #3
Savage
Boortz (claims he is a libertarian, but has many conservative positions)
and the list goes on and on

It sure seems that the conservatives are the ones that people choose when they have a choice. It also seems that liberals cannot survive in the free market. Is this why they want the Fairness Doctrine?

absolutely. The same can be said for most liberal ideas. They need my and your money to help whoever this week. Today it is health care, tomorrow it will be a nicer car. And it is already a nicer home. Whatever happened to support thyself. Liberalism will die. It will sadly only take a few more generations of them auto-aborting their own constituents as well as same sexing their way out of children. It couldn't happen soon enough for me. Remember Churchill said if your not a liberal when you are young you don't have a heart and if you are not a conservative when you are old you don't have a brain.... words to live by

That's because there are very few liberal talk shows and radio shows. NPR is NOT liberal or conservative BTW. Anyway, conservatives just have more mediums with which to spread their ignorance and bigotry. LIBERALS, by the way, are very much in touch with the American people. More Americans do NOT support Bush or the war. Liberals are the same way. We don't need all those slanted talk shows and radio programs. The average American just naturally identifies more with these liberal views of today's politics, like it or not (and I know you do not like it one bit).

how many American actually listen to them?

1 million... 2 maybe?

I know Orieley is Fox News' highest rated show and he usually gets about 3 million viewers... total on average... and I would guess that's higher than Rush usually gets... but I don't know..

I wouldn't call 1 percent of the population exactly a mandate and proving that America loves you...

the simple fact of the matter is... I think more people listen to FM overall... so I guess Snoop Doggy and Brittany Spears are the ones that are really in touch with America... however scary that is...

according to that cite he pulls down about 1 million an hour...

I know that Public Radio and television could be mistaken for liberal in your view because they um report facts and are grounded in reality and whatnot which is the complete opposite of what the screeching harpies on the right are known for, but if you actually looking for some statistics, this might interest you:

NPR receives less than 1% (1%!!!!) of its operating costs from the federal gov. each year, the rest is obtained through its listeners by membership drives in the fall and spring.

It surprises me just how misinformed the majority of people really are.
Look at the series of questions Ive asked, about MSNBC and FOX, and o'rielly and olbermans battling

People make all these false claims supporting o'reilly. One woman tried to say olberman mistreated woman when its o'reilly who was forced to settle out of court his sexual harrassment case.

And it was o'reilly who put hisfoot in his mouth about the captive kid who he claimed 'enjoyed being held captive'

If thats not the surest sign of an idiot, I dont know what is.

But I think -- or I hope -- most people watch these guys for entertainment value, and get their source of politics from other sources.
To me o'reilly and all the other conservatives are so transparent. But then again, I actually track down the issues myself and see whos tellign the truth.

And to date -- I cant see anyone who does it better than MSNBC's team. Olberman and i forget the chap whos right after him...tey always have intelligent arguements, expose valid coverups and lies...
The day O'reilly was yapping about NBC, and bringing in body language experts was the day olberman was uncovering Room 18 at Walter Reed, updating on the libby trial, reminding us of o'reillys child statement, and doing it in a funny intellectual way.

So either all these people are watching o'reilly because they just dont know, or they never gave countdown a chance.

FOX vs MSNBC
I see more reputable commentoators on MSNBC and guests .. newsweek, etc...where who does FOX count on .. Geraldo, Olli North, Mark Furman...it seems everyones had tainted past on FOX, where as everyone has strong foundations on MSNBC

Come on when you have the apprentices amerosa talking politics on FOX, like shes an authority..you gotta be kidding me.

Hands down...MSNBC better coverage, more intellectual exposes of bush's excapades, and Olberman, way more accurate, more inofrmative on todays topics, and better journalistic inegrity than the o'reilly fool

This is really so funny.... those are all talk show hosts.. you are right...but remember probably only about 38% of Americans even watch them... know why.. because that is the only amount that still approve of Bush... and these guys are just spewing Bush propaganda...
Please don't worry about the Libs.. they do listen to other talk shows and besides that they do know how to think for themselves.. they do not necessarily need a talk show person to tell them what to think.
