i downloaded a 350 mg episode of grey's anatomy (austrlia too far behind america im impatient) and it wont play with windows media says its invalid, same goes with quicktime, divx and i tried to play it in vlc and it didn't work either! what should i do? it was seeded by like 60 ppl so obviously there is a way for it to work... and i DONT have a virus :)

are you sure that you dowloaded and avi file? double check that first then you can try to find a player or codec that will allow you to watch your show. I had a similar problem and I had to download another version of the same video so that I could watch it.

You need to download K-lite Codec Pack, This is the link http://bit.ly/1uUrhlE

if you have any type of codec error, like a missing codec message or if you can't play videos or you are unable to open some type of file (like mp4, avi, wmv, divx, etc...) you need to install K-lite Codec Pack, it's the biggest codec pack and will fix all you codec issue

You probably need a different video Codec to play it. I'd recommend you download "K-Lite Codec Pack 2.81 Standard" from one of the mirrors on this site http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm

Follow the instructions to install. and Walla!
