Wash face with a mild cleanser and moisturize. Also, put primrose oil or vitamin E oil on your face at night, it will help heal quickly and you will have great skin. In the mean time during the day, try a cover up that is oil free. Try clinique, or Bare Minerals. It is less harsh on your skin. I dont know what cover up you were using, maybe you werent using the right one or you are allergic to something in it. If thats the case, you will have to go without it unil your face heals.

Go to a skin doctor and see what he/she recommends, maybe they have a makeup line they can suggest.

While your skin is healing, try Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation. It has salicyc acid in it and it will help clear up your face, while giving you coverage. It really is a nice foundation. Never ever go overboard with skin products, if you wash your face too much, you will produce too much oil and your skin will just break out again. Basis cleanser is wonderful, and always moisturize, even if your skin is oily you can find an oil free moisturizer, like Biore. Don't abuse your skin, leave it alone, don't touch your face, ALWAYS wash your makeup off before bed, and drink plenty of water. If this doesn't work see a dermatologist. And don't clear up your face for guys...do it for YOU.

I hate to say it...but don't use a cover up! Take care of your skin first and foremost. I know thats really hard to do, but it will help in the long run. I use to have really bad acne and I tried the whole cover up thing. And do you really want a guy that won't talk to you because of your skin?! *gasp*~*I'm starting to sound like my mother, oh the horror!~*~ BUT if you're dead set on using a cover up use something oil free, go to walmart, check out the clean 'n clear and Neutrogena products. They have products with a slight tint that will help. I used Proactiv for my skin and I know they sell a cover up that you can get. I haven't used that because just the cleaning products helped me. Good luck, hope this helps!

Make up in general is bad for your skin. I have rosacea and OTC make up aggravates it. There are 4 websites you should check out. To help your skin heal, I suggest the following:

-www.rosaceacare.com = Even if you don't have sensitive skin, their products are awesome.

-www.proactive.com = My little sister uses it and has had great results.

For make up:

-www.bareminerals.com = It's expensive, but looks well worth it. I am going to check them out once I have the money to.

-www.bodyshop.com = I swear by their make up. It's awesome. It's like the site above, but a little lower end.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Taking good care of your skin is vital. You need a good skin care regimen, once the skin is healthy your make up will look better as well. Use make up that is good for your skin ( try Arbonne- pure botanical, no toxins , no mineral oils) and of course you need a healthy diet. Lots of water and A diet that is rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants. Your diet affects everything in your body. Remember you are what you eat. Food provides the building blocks that are necessary for healthy hair, skin and bones.

Most make up isn't good for your skin, if you are trying to cover up pimples try using a concealer that help pimples, instead of the real concealer.
Also, if you dont clean your face properly it could cause damage to your skin. Foundation gets deep into your pores and is very tough to get out, if it isn't completely out you will get major breakouts.

I know it's hard, but I'd give the foundation a rest while your skin heals. It really is bad for your skin. Be strong. Just play up your eyes and make sure your hair looks fabulous. (A sparkling personality couldn't hurt . . . )

Try a mineral foundation. L'oreal makes a good one that you can get at the drugstore. It's oil free and won't cause acne. I use that kind, and I recommend it for sure!
