My friend had this AH-NOYYING (scuse the spelling, not sure) shirt that says "Property of Abercrombie and Fitch". I mean, who wants to walk around like that. I mean, I am okay with like Hollister, American Eagle, Aeropostale written across it, but does it bug anyone else like that??

yes!! i can't stand labels! to me, its the same as wearing a shirt that says "i bought this shirt at the mall"

it's tacky, tasteless, shows how much money you're spending and it doesn't express individuality at all....i think you can make bigger and better statements in your clothing withOUT using any words at all. :)

Yep. I walked into Hollister because I saw a shirt that I like that was in another question somewhere on here. So yesterday I went to Hollister to buy it. I think Hollister is overrated, so when I saw that little bird thing I was pissed. I tried to see if it was possible to take it off, but it didn't look like it. So I ended up walking out of the store empty handed.

Not at all. In fact... I figure if I'm going to pay those prices for those clothes, you are going to know what label they are! In fact, I look for something that identifies the clothing before I'll purchase it. For exampe, Ralph Lauren - the polo guy on the chest, or as you said, the logo wrote across the front... much like DKNY, Armani Exchange, etc... love those brands!

it's kind of the same thing... wearing hollister or aeropostale on ur shirt. just a different name.

i think it's kinda stupid... i mean ur like a free advirtisment for the company. other ppl c what ur wearing and they go out and by it. it's like u pay to advirtise their stuff. My God, i sound so hypocritical, cuz i do that too, but it's kinda smart how the clothing company thinks up of these things

Labels are just status type things that allow ppl to brag about something.

well it depends on what kind of brand it is. i mean if you were wearing armani, dsquared2, or dolce and gabbana., you would want to flaunt it, wouldn't you?
