Yup. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

Depends on the person. In my case yes i like the Dr. Phil to the point version. Some people cannot handle the truth as with some i am more straightforward as with others but yes for the most part I like the to the point version.

i think it is one of our societal woes that many people, first, do not want to listen to someone explain in full what he means, and second, that some people believe that simple statements is going are going to tell us all.

here is how i handle this: i ask a lot of questions. you get to see very fast, this way, how honest a person is, whether they have an active instead of a lazy mind, whether they are BSing you, if they think you are stupid enough to believe their one liners with no surrounding explaination, or if they are just going to go on in circular motions, like the demented.

i don't do too well seeing behind bushes. i like when people just tell it like it is to me. some people believe that they will hurt your feelings if they are straight, but are surprised to find out how much people appreciate their being straight and frank. so long as your purpose is not to stab them in the back or to humiliate them, nothing is wrong with straightforwardness.

basically, all i do when i learn that a person is trying to fool me or not be straight with me or lie to me is just wave bye, bye, bye and go on my merry way. there are plenty of smarter folks that love to express what they think fully. they are interesting. now, to me, those people don't waste my time, but those that will not, no matter how much you ask them, say what they mean, are a waste of my valuable time--my time to live, not to kill.

Hell yes. It would be a lot more SANE to ask for what you want or say what you mean. I'm direct, and understand direct. Everything else just pisses me off.

definitely. similes and metaphors and other ways of beating around the bush get on my nerves. i'd like the world a lot more if everyone was just blunt and honest.

YES! It is so annoying how people can just lie to your face and think something totally different!
