Look up Poison Dart Frogs.
Native people used to rub their arrows on the frogs, then hunt for food, the poison would stun prey making it easier to catch and eat. The compounds cause a wicked buzz.
I watched Discovery Channel where they were doing research on these frogs. One researcher's entire job was licking these frogs to see the effects on the human body. (some job, YUCK!!)
Anyway, he said that a few of them caused hallucinations and a few knocked him out completely!
Weird fact: Poison Dart frogs that are bred in captivity don't have any poison. Researchers think that it's something to do with the diets or water. They don't know why.

Another on are the Cane Toad. They have a very large poison gland behind their eye and if this poison come in contact with your mouth or cuts you will become ill and hallucinations

Yes. The bufo bufo can cause hallucinations if its flesh is dried and smoked... but be careful. If it is swallowed it is highly poisonous.
