The viola is an endangered instrument but also very beautiful and important. I am the principle violist of my local orchestra. Please spread the word that the world needs more violists.

I have to agree i switched to viola from violin years ago, and there arent as many people who play the viola especially compared to violinist. I find that the sound is just so much better and richer. I felt more comfortable playing it, and i enjoyed the sound of the instrument far better then the violin.

I did play the viola in an Honor Strings Program in highschool, years ago.

we need a viola hero. When a great soloist shows how amazing it is everyone will want to hear it. I'd like to play the viola, but i just play my violin, because i haven't go the money to buy one.

My son played it in 4th grade and it sounded better than his sisters violin. It is a very nice sounding instrument when played correctly.
