People sometimes go into credit card debt b/c they can not control themselves. They buy things they wouldnt normally be able to pay for. People sometimes feel taken advantage of b/c they never stuck up got themselves. People are still having unwanted children. People are still catching prevebtable diseases. WHY?! This leads to my next question. DO we not love ourselves enough?

I dont think is that we dont love ourselves, but I do think that we cause our problems.....
most problems get cause from mistakes, lack of thought into a certain subject, or sometimes just plain bad luck.....
most people realize when they are doing something that might harm them in the end, it is just a matter of who is willing to take the risk...
its all about wrong predictions i think, unwanted children, preventable diseases......if people knew 100% they were going to get them then they wouldnt do it, but since its not 100% some people choose to take that risk and have to deal with the consequences....

People like to live in the moment which is self destructive behaviour.
People don't think before they do things.
I don't spend more than I have, I'm on birth control to prevent a pregnancy, I don't get taken advantage of because I don't give people the chance.
It's the way you live your life. You either make it work for yourself or you ruin yourself.
as for love of yourself I think some people love themself so much that they are constantly treating themselves which makes it destructive behaviour aswell.
People need to think about their futures, their childrens future etc.

Maybe you should have worded you question differently, your responses were just rude or maybe even stupid. We all have done things that were not in our best interest, because we all have bad judgement at some point in our lifes. We should all take a step bad and look at the big picture before a rash decision is made. We tend to want more than we are to have.

Well, some people think that problems are only problems because we perceive them that way. They say happiness is a choice, but I have a problem with that point of view. I would say that if I was shot by a madman with a gun in a mall, the gunman would be the cause of my problem and not my perception of it.

I agree, we don't love ourselves enough, and we're partly responsible for a lot of our problems but not all of them.
I don't know the solutions to life problems but I do know that "The Secret" is a load of crap.
