I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I am starting to experience numbness in my toes and hands for no apparent reason. It doesn't happen at any particular time, doesn't matter if I'm sitting, standing, or laying down every once in a while my toes will go numb or start getting tingly. Does this sound like something normal? Or should I be concerned. I have a doctors appointment this monday, and I plan to bring it up then, but I just wanted some opinions before hand. Thanks :)

You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy.html

It is probably normal. It is very common for swelling in the arms to cause a carpal tunnel syndrome with numbness in your fingers. The same thing can be going on in your toes. Perhaps a nerve compression syndrome is causing it as well ( actually, that is what carpal tunnel is) and it will usually resolve after the baby is delivered.

I had numbness in my hands with both of my pregnancies. It is caused by the swelling and water retention. It puts pressure on the nerves and causes problems. It did go away after the baby was born, both times.

This happened to me! You should try to move around more. Your blood isn't circulating as well as it could be. My feet and hands would constantly fall asleep when I was pregnant. My doc told me to move around more. Nothing strenuous! Just light exercise. But, remember to ask your doc.
