The best sign that you are having a boy, is when the ultrasound tech says they're "pretty sure" they saw only labia, then you go out and buy thousands of dollars worth of pink stuff for your precious baby girl.... The credit card bill arriving is the final sign. ;)

There are NO signs other than the ones that show up on the ultrasound...Had there been such signs by the way I carried, the way I walked, the pendant "test" the foods I craved, the amount of kicking/punching I recived from "the inside" My 21 year old daughter would have a penis instead of a vagina.

"a girl will be more gentle" Yeah right...that's how my daughter earned her nickname "ROCKY" before she was born by being "more gentle". She DANCED on my bladder tried to PUNCH out my ribs...there were times when my dog Max would be sitting next to me on the couch she would kick so hard she would shove him OVER...and that was IN UTERO..trust me girls are just as rough as boys are in utero...LIke I said...from all of the wive's tales that say it's going to be a boy...my 21 year old daughter who get's PMS once a month and bleeds like a stuck pig would have a penis if it were true. I was the only one who diapered her bottom and there's no penis there. But that "more gentle" did give me a chuckle

If it's a boy...he will be more energetic inside of you, like you will feel more kicks and more movement....

a girl will be more gentle..trust me I have had 3 boys and 2 girls so far!

And if you really want to know if its mostly sure that it's a boy then you can get an ultrasound.(but it may not be correct)

It's not always right but many times a girl has a higher heart rate than a boy. That was the case with my sister and aunt.

There is no way of knowing what you are having unles you have an ultrasound. I had one and the told me it was a boy and I ended up having a girl so sometimes the ultrasounds are wrong. Its Gods gift to you and your family

They say if you are carrying low then it is a boy and if your are carrying higher it is a girl. I have also heard that the lower the heart rate it is a boy and higher for a girl.

No that doesn't mean you will have a boy neither does any of those midwives tales, go get an ultrasound if you want to see, but even those aren't accurate.

That's because of hormones, not the sex of the child. Have an ultrasound at 20 weeks... that's your best bet, unless you're willing to have an amnio... which is risky. That'll tell you for sure.

I have a friend who has had three kids, her first two she carried low (meaning that her uterus was lower) and she had two boys, her third pregnancy she carried high and she had a girl. Next time you go to your OB-Gyn ask them if you are caring hi or low.

old wives tail; if the belly is pushed out in front , then it is a boy but if the belly is big all the way around then it is a little girl
