I'm in cometology school and my look was sorta on the plane side. so i've been experiencing w/ piercing's and other things to give myself a more creative look. i've had 3 so far 1 in my eyebrow, nose, and tounge. i took them out for a job interview and the one in my nose & eyebrow closed. they both left a small scar so i was thinking of having them repierced.....my mom said she didnt like them and thought i had to many. my ex boyfriend told me he didnt like them and that i had to many. a few conservative people would glance and say they looked painful. however a lot of people complimented me and said they were attractive on me and enhanced my facial features. i got a lot of attention from guys who i thought were hot..! < just interested in hearing a few opinions, on how people honestly feel about them.>

Honestly? I don't like them. Eventhough a few people will like them, more people won't and every year, as you get older, the number of the ones who don't will increase dramatically. Many of your costumers will be turned off by it. Your options in the romance department will also decrease, because you'll only attract one kind of guy to the exclusion of many great guys (especially guys with good jobs). It's funny, but the many people who want to look unique by getting these piercings, all end up looking just like each other. My vote is to let them heal. If anyone thinks they make you look good hadn't looked closely enough, b/c you must have looked good already. The tongue piercing is a huge red flag to a lot of people too. These piercings get a lot of looks from some guys, because a lot of guys look at pierced girls (not ears, but other piercings) as advertisement for an easy hook up, so they like that aspect of it, they just assume a pierced girl is easier, which may or may not be true, but you want guys who want to get to know you, not ones who think you're advertising an easy and available girl which is not always true.
Good for you to ask, that means that you care about how things effect your future.

I do not like eyebrow or tongue piercings. Here is why, People that have their tongue pierced are constantly playing with it, hitting it against their teeth and some people talk weird. If you were cutting my hair, doing my makeup, or any other thing that has to do with close personal contact I would find that very annoying and distracting. I think the eyebrow piercing is okay on very few people, but that was so 90's! It takes away from your physical beauty, People end up looking at your eyebrow instead of looking you straight in the eye.
I do however like nose piercings, only if they are small and barely noticeable. Like a small diamond that you can see when the light catches it. It is a very flattering look for some people.
If you want to be creative with your looks, do it with your hair, makeup or clothing. When you graduate from beauty school you want to have a variety of customers. An old lady might not want her hair curled by someone with metal covering her face.
Find a cute cut, or fresh new make-up that makes you stand out.

Personally I think you have to do what is right for you. I had my tongue pierced but took it out because I joined the military.

Now I am a school teacher and I don't see that having piercing, tattoos, or even green hair as a big deal. I equate it to people that wear clothes I find odd or out of style. People are always going to judge you.

I think you learned the one lesson about doing something like this already...you have a scar. Things like this can be either permanent or semi-permanent, so just be prepared for that.

Do what feel right for you.

I'm not really a fan of the piercing. I guess that it looks good sometimes if you don't go overboard with it. Just think though... if hot guys only notice you because of the piercings and not because they like you for you then they really aren't right for you.

I detest eyebrow piercings! Ugh! They are ugly and make you look cheap. I tend to feel people who feel the need to decorate their bodies are insecure about themselves and their looks. Why do something permanent when you can do so much with hair, makeup, clothes and accessories? You can change your look all the time and not have any body altering changes. How will you feel in fifty years about having holes in your body?

I don't like to see piercings in any place other than the ears of women. But I'm old fashioned that way, I suppose.

I think facial piercings can enhance your features,
as long as it doesn't begin to look as though you stuffed your face inside a tackle box.
I think they're nice on boys AND girls, but alot of people don't like them.
